I was chosen for another set of games from Tryazon! This time was Santorini – 2nd Edition. I was excited when I got this opportunity, as I have been to the actual Greek Island of Santorini and it is beautiful. I love the Greek culture, so I was curious what this game was going to be all about.
We took our the main game, Santorini, set it up and a group of us tried it out! Santorini is a highly accessible pure-strategy game where you play as a youthful Greek god or goddess competing to best aid the island’s citizens in building a beautiful village in the middle of the Aegean sea.
We played lots of rounds and had fun reading the cards of the gods. The game comes with a great instruction sheet and was easy to set up. The first round, we watched 2 play, as they did it step by step for others to learn. We then put another game on the other table and they played it as well! After a couple of games, we added in the 2nd version, Santorini: Riddle of The Sphinx – A Cooperative, Book-Based Expansion to The Abstract Masterpiece Santorini. It was a great addition and plays quick!
